#FreeMediaVe: More Nations Using Twitter to Protest Media Crackdown
Twitter has become the most powerful tool for free speech, especially for those nations oppressed and censored by their own goverments, letting these nations express and raise their voices to the world, no matter how hard these governments try to control the local and international media. We’ve seen this recently with the Iranian presidential election process and fraud, and now we can see it with Venezuelans, after the presidencial decision to close more than 240 radio stations nationwide and possibly, the second TV station: Globovision.

Venezuelans have learned the lesson from Iran. They started two days ago a new global cruzade against these illegal actions taken by the government, sorry… Chavez!. With the label #FreeMediaVe Venezuelans have populated Twitter, Blogs and other Social Networks with news and comments about the real situation lived in this (our… MY) coutry. This campaign has produced such impact in Twitter, that it is one of the most issues comments in this (and other) Social Networks, and forced the government to officially complain against this campaign.
